Season of Locusts

I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten.... (Joel 2:25, NIV).

“I’ll make up for the years of the locust, the great locust devastation—
Locusts savage, locusts deadly, fierce locusts, locusts of doom,
That great locust invasion I sent your way. You’ll eat your fill of good food.
You’ll be full of praises to your GodThe God who has set you back on your heels in wonder. Never again will my people be despised. You’ll know without question
that I’m in the thick of life with Israel, That I’m your God, yes, your God,
the one and only real God. Never again will my people be despised." (Joel 2:25-27, MSG).

Ever feel like you're in a season of locusts? Or maybe your season isn't as drastic as blood sucking bugs- but maybe it does feel like your faithfulness and diligence and handwork is sucked up by the power and the energy of others...Take heart, God says, he will repay and reward you for your faithfulness and not only that but you'll be full- of his love, mercy, grace, and love through the difficulty of walking through the shadow of locusts. There's a light at the end of the tunnel. Hold on and wait to see the land flowing of milk and honey.
